"The cultural script I grew up with in Britain offered only two positions. You either drink, or you have a problem. There was very little language for the space in between. That space is where millions of people actually live — and that's who this book is for."

C.W. Mills, Author of The Last Drop

PRESS RELEASE

The Last Drop — not a recovery story. A decision story.

London, July 2026 — With 17.5 million people participating in Dry January this year and the sober curious movement continuing to grow, a new book is speaking directly to the millions of ordinary people who are quietly wondering whether alcohol is still serving them — without a crisis to justify the question.

The Last Drop by C.W. Mills is that book.

"I didn't have a problem," says Mills. "I genuinely enjoyed a drink — for thirty years. But somewhere along the way I started wondering whether that routine was still serving me. That quiet question turned out to be the start of everything."

What followed was a seven-day abstinence challenge, then a month, then three years. In that time Mills lost 3.6 stone, wrote a book and built a lifestyle brand. He hasn't looked back.

The Last Drop is not a cautionary tale. It is a decision story — written for the quietly curious, the social drinkers who have started asking honest questions about a habit they have never thought to examine.

The book explores the honest reality of thirty years of social drinking — the moments that prompt you to finally question it, the cravings that follow when you do, and the identity shift that nobody warns you about. Warm, honest and occasionally wry, it treats the reader as a thoughtful adult making their own decision — not a patient in need of intervention.

Available in Kindle, paperback and hardback on Amazon, and on Apple Books, Barnes & Noble and Google Play.

Review copies of The Last Drop are available on request in Kindle, paperback or hardback format.
